Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Top Speed Baseball (43-7) outscored the Alameda Merchants (24-22) 13-11 in seven innings.
The teams totaled 28 hits in the game.
Ryne Dean racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the first and second innings, homered in the third inning, and doubled in the sixth inning.
JR Davis put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Alameda Merchants. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Corey Lathram got his fifth win for the Top Speed Baseball despite allowing seven runs over 4 2/3 innings. Lathram struck out three, walked none and gave up 10 hits.
Gunnar David (3-1) took the loss for the Alameda Merchants. He allowed seven runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
