The Alameda Merchants (14-17) beat the Sacramento Heat (13-17) 20-4 on Sunday at Folsom Lake College after a 12-run explosion in the seventh inning.

The Alameda Merchants scored in the seventh on an RBI triple by JR Davis, a two-run home run by Michael Echavia, an RBI double by Shea Sbranti, a home run by Marcus Williams, an RBI single by Echavia, a two-run single by Sbranti, and an RBI single by Garrett Heisinger.

Davis put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Alameda Merchants.

Ondrej Sebek improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alameda Merchants. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Chase Hunt-Murray couldn't get it done on the mound for the Sacramento Heat, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
