Nick Hudson kept the Atwater Aviators (8-13) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Alameda Merchants (9-11) beat the Atwater Aviators, 1-0.

Hudson allowed five hits, no walks and struck out six.

A bright spot for the Atwater Aviators in the defeat was Tyler Kotchik, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Kotchik ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year.
