Allison Wiens went 2-3 as the Douglas (16-4) took home a 4-1 victory over the Skagit Valley (8-24) in seven innings at Skagit Valley on Saturday.
He doubled in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.The Skagit Valley's lineup had no answer for Morganne Blattmann. The Skagit Valley managed just two hits off of Blattmann, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out two during his seven innings of work.
Brie Lopez (3-9) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
