Wednesday was a great day for Eric Sams, as he hit two home runs to carry the Swift Current Indians (28-18) to a 10-5 victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (24-22) at Mitchell Field.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Moose Jaw Miller Express led until the seventh inning, but the Swift Current Indians took the lead back on an error.

Mike Frericks had an impressive outing against the Moose Jaw Miller Express' lineup. The Moose Jaw Miller Express managed just two hits off of Frericks, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Bryce Crosbie ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The Swift Current Indians' Josh Johnson, Sams, Michael Eberle and Hunter Owen combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
