The Yorkton Cardinals top the Weyburn Beavers behind Mizzell's 2 hits, 4-2

An awesome effort by Kameron Mizzell led the Yorkton Cardinals (7-8) to a 4-2 win over the Weyburn Beavers (5-9) on Tuesday at Tom Laing Park.

Mizzell rocked the Weyburn Beavers with two home runs. Mizzell went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Mizzell homered in the first, third, and third innings.

Jeff Pool's eight strikeouts helped the Yorkton Cardinals to the victory. Pool allowed two earned runs, five hits and three walks over eight innings.

Scott Beever pitched lights out for the Weyburn Beavers. Beever gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Hans Losada couldn't get it done on the hill for the Weyburn Beavers, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
