Aiden Marquardt went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping the Regina Red Sox (11-6) to a 4-2 victory over the Swift Current Indians (6-9) on Tuesday at Mitchell Field.

Kevin Hand picked up the win for the Regina Red Sox. Hand allowed one earned run, three hits and seven walks while striking out two over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Steve Thompson was effective even in defeat, mowing down eight the Regina Red Sox batters and allowing three runs.

Matt Spillman went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Swift Current Indians. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Thompson took the loss for the Swift Current Indians.
