The Edmonton Prospects (4-2) and the Moose Jaw Miller Express (2-2) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Edmonton Prospects capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out an 8-7 win at Ross Wells Park.

Bryn Redhead racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Edmonton Prospects. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third innings.

A bright spot for the Moose Jaw Miller Express in the defeat was Terry McNabb, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Bryce Shea improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Edmonton Prospects. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Zach Shelstad ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
