The Mt. Hood (21-0) beat the Lower Columbia (15-5) 4-3 in six innings on Tuesday at Saints Baseball Field behind Teauna Hughes, who went 2-2 and hit a home run.
He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.It was a good day at the plate for the Lower Columbia's Kuulei Siolo. Siolo went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.
Kristen Crawford recorded his eleventh win of the year for the Mt. Hood. He allowed three runs over five innings. Crawford struck out one, walked one and gave up seven hits.
Amber Gilbert (6-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed no runs.
