Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

Great game from the Skagit Valley's Hawkins not enough in 9-8 loss to the Olympic

Story by Narrative Science.

Holly Hawkins hit two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Skagit Valley (10-27) to a win on Friday, as the Skagit Valley fell to the Olympic (12-19) 9-8 at Lyons Park in seven innings.

The two teams combined for 17 runs and 27 hits, including zero extra base hits.

Greta Coleman went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the Olympic. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.

The Skagit Valley had no answer for Christina Bigelow, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Skagit Valley managed just two hits off of Bigelow, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Brie Lopez (4-10) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
