Erickson allows no runs to lead the Pierce past the Everett 7-0

Tyson Erickson kept the Everett (7-8) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Pierce (6-9) beat the Everett, 7-0.

Erickson struck out five and allowed four walks and three hits.

The Pierce blew out the Everett thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Pierce scored three runs in the fourth on a two-run double by Leo Valenti and an RBI triple by Jeff Nelson.

Nelson had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Riley OBrien ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The Pierce were sparked by Brett Oyer and Nelson, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
