Early lead gives the Wenatchee Valley easy victory over the Blue Mountain, 14-1

The Wenatchee Valley (28-5) shut the door early on the Blue Mountain (5-29), capturing a 14-1 victory on Friday at BMCC Softball Field .

With eight runs in the first three innings, the Wenatchee Valley left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An error during the first inning and a fielder's choice, a double by Becky Wall, a two-run error, and an RBI double by Iris Rodriguez in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Wenatchee Valley.

Wall racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Wenatchee Valley.

The Blue Mountain were led by Rayne Spencer's hitting. Spencer went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Liz Crookes got the win, running his season record to 14-0. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Nicole Brown ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his eighteenth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.
