The Mt. Hood uses big sixth inning to beat the SW Oregon, 15-2

The Mt. Hood (33-1) beat the SW Oregon (24-15) 15-2 in six innings on Wednesday at Southwestern Oregon Baseball Fi after an eight-run explosion in the sixth inning.

Teauna Hughes racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Mt. Hood. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the sixth innings.

Nicole Kellams pitched lights out for the Mt. Hood. The SW Oregon managed just one hit off of the the Mt. Hood's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Hannah Leming reached base three times in the game for the SW Oregon. He singled in the first and third innings.

Ann-Marie Guischer got the win, running his season record to 13-1. He allowed two runs over 3 1/3 innings. Guischer struck out seven, walked six and gave up three hits.

Jessica Myers (12-9) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked none and struck out five.
