Friday was a great day for Lindsey Stover, as he hit two home runs to carry the Treasure Valley (23-10) to a 9-1 victory over the Big Bend (3-22) at Heinz/Ore-Ida Regional Softball in five innings.
Stover racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Treasure Valley. He singled in the second inning and homered in the first and fifth innings.
Five runs in the first three innings helped the Treasure Valley blow out the Big Bend. A solo home run by Stover in the first inning and an RBI single by Jodie Hoagland, an RBI single by Hoagland, and a two-run single by Stover during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Treasure Valley.
Jessica Capson racked up seven strikeouts in the the Treasure Valley win. Capson allowed one earned run on six hits and no walks over five innings.
Alexis Spence was charged with his seventh loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out two.
