The Blue Mountain outdone by Bird and the Wenatchee Valley, 6-5

Ryan Bird collected three hits, helping the Wenatchee Valley (13-25) to a 6-5 victory over the Blue Mountain (6-31) on Wednesday at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.

He singled in the third, fourth, and seventh innings.

Taylor Dantini put together a nice outing. The Blue Mountain managed just two hits off of the the Wenatchee Valley's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out six during his three innings of work.

Grubb improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Wenatchee Valley. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Jacob Butcher was charged with his eighth loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
