An ace performance by Daniel Deaton led the Big Bend (17-10) to a 5-1 win over the Treasure Valley on Saturday at BBCC Baseball Field .

Deaton picked up the win for the Big Bend. Deaton allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out five over eight innings of work.

Jon Dailey put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Big Bend. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Shawn Powers couldn't get it done on the bump for the Treasure Valley (19-8), taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
