Aris Califano went 3-3 at the plate as the Green River (3-9) took home a 3-1 victory over the South Puget Sound (0-14) in five innings at Lacey on Saturday.
He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.The Green River got the win thanks in large part to Kenicia McLellan's dominant, four-strikeout performance. McLellan allowed no earned runs, four hits and four walks over five innings.
Amanda Rupright (0-12) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
