Cole Uvila threw a shutout to lift the Pierce (22-10) to a 6-0 win over the Green River (8-26) at Mt Tahoma High School in seven innings.
Uvila held the Green River scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out eight.
The Pierce blew out the Green River thanks to eight hits, including zero extra base hits. The Pierce scored three runs in the fourth on a two-run double by Leo Valenti and a sacrifice fly by Colton Nash.
Nash racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Pierce.
Cody Whitemarsh (1-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.
