Both the West Virginia Miners (37-21) and the Chillicothe Paints (38-19) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the West Virginia Miners that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-6 win at Linda K. Epling Stadium.

Westyn Baylor racked up two RBIs on one hit for the West Virginia Miners. He homered in the fourth innings.

Joe Hoscheit was hot from the plate for the Chillicothe Paints. Hoscheit went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and tripled in the eighth inning.

Quinton Yocom got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Jason Johnson (4-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
