The Butler Blue Sox (35-19)'s four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 7-2 win over the Lorain County Ironmen (19-35) on Tuesday at Pullman Park.

The Butler Blue Sox scored in the first on a two-run double by Stuart Levy, an error, and a sacrifice fly by Jeffrey Revesz.

Levy had two extra-base hits for the Butler Blue Sox.

Tanner Schumacher brought the heat against the Lorain County Ironmen during his outing. Schumacher held the Lorain County Ironmen hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Nate Langhals was solid at the plate for the Lorain County Ironmen. Langhals went 2-4 and scored two runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Mick Fennell got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Ben Standiford was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked five and struck out two.

The Butler Blue Sox were sparked by Levy and Ryan Uhl, who teamed up for four hits and five RBIs.
