The bats were busy at Robin Roberts Field on Tuesday, and when the dust cleared the Quincy Gems (34-20) had a 10-9 win over the Springfield Sliders (13-40) in 10 innings.
The two teams combined for 26 hits in the game.
Adam McGinnis did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Quincy Gems, reaching base five times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings.
Jake Wehde improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Quincy Gems. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Alex Siddle couldn't get it done on the hill for the Springfield Sliders, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
