The Terre Haute Rex (33-20) and the Springfield Sliders (13-39) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Terre Haute Rex that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 2-1 win at Robin Roberts Field.

Hayden Cleveland picked up the win for the Terre Haute Rex. Cleveland pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out four.

Despite the loss, the Springfield Sliders' Geoff Boylston dominated the Terre Haute Rex's batters, giving up two runs and striking out eight.

Boylston ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year.
