The Richmond RiverRats (15-26) and the West Virginia Miners (28-16) both had scoring chances on Thursday, but it was the Richmond RiverRats that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 10-5 win at McBride Stadium.

Nick Sergakis racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Rob Youngblood racked up two RBIs on three hits for the West Virginia Miners. He singled in the second, fourth, and eighth innings.

Jack Granath got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Abram Cartledge ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
