Cam Wysocki was cold coming off the bench, but Wysocki warmed up quickly as Wysocki stroked a key pinch-hit single in the nine to lead the Danville Dans (24-19) to a 6-5 win over the Hannibal Cavemen (17-24) on Thursday at Danville Stadium.
With the Danville Dans trailing by one in the ninth inning, Wysocki came to the plate and singled.
Hayden McMillon boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 1-1 day at the plate to pace the Hannibal Cavemen. He singled in the seventh inning.
Wysocki improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Danville Dans. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Justin Hertzmann (3-2) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
