The Danville Dans (22-18) didn't stand a chance on Monday, as the Terre Haute Rex (25-15) captured a blowout 11-2 win at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad.

A three-run home run by Clayton Smithson delivered the runs in the sixth. The Terre Haute Rex had two hits in the inning.

Smithson racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Terre Haute Rex.

Hayden Cleveland's nine strikeouts helped the Terre Haute Rex to the victory. Cleveland allowed no earned runs on five hits and one walk over 6 2/3 innings.

Matthew Kirk had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fifth and seventh innings and singled in the ninth inning.

Ben Braymer couldn't get it done on the bump for the Danville Dans, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
