The Chillicothe Paints (20-9) and the Champion City Kings (12-16) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Chillicothe Paints capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-4 win at VA Memorial Stadium.

Joey Mancuso was hot from the plate for the Champion City Kings. Mancuso went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Trace Dempsey recorded his first win of the year for the Chillicothe Paints. Dempsey struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.

Aaron Cross (1-1) took the loss for the Champion City Kings. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
