The Lorain County Ironmen (11-15) and the Champion City Kings (11-14) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Lorain County Ironmen that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-3 win at Davidson Stadium.

The fact that the Lorain County Ironmen grouped all of their runs into the fifth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Anthony Bova was hot from the plate for the Lorain County Ironmen. Bova went 4-5 and drove in one. He singled in the third, fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Leiff Clarkson had a hot bat for the Champion City Kings. Clarkson went 2-4. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Sam Clarke recorded his second win of the year for the Lorain County Ironmen. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Bradley Williams (2-2) took the loss for the Champion City Kings. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
