The Danville Dans take out the Terre Haute Rex with help from McManigal, 5-2

The Danville Dans (18-11) beat the Terre Haute Rex (16-12) 5-2 on Friday at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad behind Connor McManigal, who went 2-4.

He singled in the third and fourth innings.

Trevor Sutton picked up the win for the Danville Dans. Sutton allowed two earned runs, three hits and two walks while striking out four over eight innings of work.

Caleb Caton was hot from the plate for the Terre Haute Rex. Caton went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

The Danville Dans couldn't get anything going so long as Kevin Weissheier was on the hill. Weissheier held the Danville Dans hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Greg Jacknewitz couldn't get it done on the bump for the Terre Haute Rex, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
