An ace performance by David Bednar led the Butler Blue Sox (13-9) to a 3-1 win over the Lorain County Ironmen (8-13) on Sunday at Pullman Park.

Bednar's 12 strikeouts were enough to push the Butler Blue Sox past the Lorain County Ironmen. The Butler Blue Sox's pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

Stephen Sada paced the Butler Blue Sox at the plate. Sada went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first and sixth innings.

Justin Fritts (1-2) took the loss for the Lorain County Ironmen. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
