Corey Pool went 2-4 as the Champion City Kings (11-7) took home a 6-2 victory over the West Virginia Miners (8-11) at Davidson Stadium on Wednesday.
He tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.Zack Oakley struck out six hitters en route to the the Champion City Kings win. The Champion City Kings' pitcher gave up just four hits over four shutout innings.
Ryan Perkins got on base three times in the game for the West Virginia Miners. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.
Quinton Yocom couldn't get it done on the hill for the West Virginia Miners, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out five.
