The Spokane (14-7) beat the Yakima Valley (12-11) 3-2 on Wednesday at Parker Field behind Michael Heaton, who went 2-3.
He singled in the first and fifth innings.Blake Andres picked up the win for the Spokane. Andres pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and five walks while striking out five.
Despite the loss, the Yakima Valley's Collin Nord dominated the Spokane's batters, giving up three runs and striking out eight.
Nord was charged with his fifth loss of the year.
