The Yakima Valley drop the Spokane 6-1 behind Giles' early

Story by Narrative Science.

The Yakima Valley (13-11) jumped on the Spokane (14-8) early on their way to a 6-1 win on Wednesday at Parker Field , scoring three runs in the first inning.

Ryan Leone did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Yakima Valley, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first and second innings.

Hugo Lemus's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Yakima Valley past the Spokane. Lemus allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over six innings.

The Yakima Valley had no answer for Kyle Murray, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Murray held the Yakima Valley hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Colton Loomis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked four and struck out two.
