The Columbia Basin (8-8) took down the Big Bend (3-13) 9-0 on Friday at BBCC Softball Field after slamming the Big Bend with five runs in the first inning.
Bailey Walthers got on base four times in the game for the Columbia Basin. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning.
Janelle Randles held the Big Bend scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up four.
Emma Stephens (0-3) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked six and struck out one.
