Brady Kerr went 2-2, helping the Bellevue (14-13) to a 2-1 victory over the Everett (11-13) on Friday at Courter Field .
He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.Nick Kiel kept contact to a minimum, striking out nine the Everett batters. Kiel allowed no earned runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Alex Koeplin was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Bellevue batters and allowing two runs.
The Everett were led by a flawless day at the dish by John Naff, who went 3-3 against the Bellevue's pitching. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.
Koeplin couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Everett, taking a loss.
