Mueller stars as the Mt. Hood defeat the Clark, 22-0

An exceptional effort by Ashlee Mueller spurred the Mt. Hood (33-2) to a 22-0 win in five innings over the Clark (7-25) on Saturday at Saints Field.

Mueller hit two home runs for the Mt. Hood. Mueller went 3-5 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Mueller homered in the first and second innings.

The Mt. Hood blew out the Clark thanks to 25 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Mt. Hood scored 11 runs in the first on a two-run single by Morgan Entze, a three-run home run by Mueller, an error, a two-run single by Entze, a two-run single by Chelsea Spanier, and an RBI single by Mercedes Green.

Haley Hamilton went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Clark. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Ann-Marie Guischer got the win, running his season record to 14-1. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Jackie Jones ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourteenth loss of the year. He allowed 14 runs in two innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Mt. Hood pounded the Clark pitching, as seven hitters combined for 21 hits, 19 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
