The Mt. Hood (19-0) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Clark (5-11), recording a 17-0 victory on Wednesday at Clark Softball Field .

The game was decided quickly as the Mt. Hood exerted their will early with 12 runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Teauna Hughes, an RBI single by Mercedes Green, an RBI single by Kasidee Lemberger, an RBI single by Laura Lesowske, a two-run single by Lesowske, an RBI single by SheaLee Lindsey, and an RBI single by Lindsey in the first inning and an RBI single by Ashlee Mueller during the second inning fueled the Mt. Hood's offense early.

Hughes boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Mt. Hood.

The Clark couldn't get anything going so long as Ann-Marie Guischer was on the hill. Guischer gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Bryce Baucum (2-6) took the loss for the Clark. He allowed 17 runs in five innings, walked three and struck out one.
