Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

Early lead gives the Centralia easy victory over the South Puget Sound, 17-2

Story by Narrative Science.

The Centralia (25-13) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the South Puget Sound (0-31), recording a 17-2 victory on Friday at Lacey.

Twelve runs in the first three innings allowed the Centralia to put the game away early.

A two-run double by Caitlyn Paul, a two-run single by Abby Slorey, a sacrifice fly by Lauren Fisher, an RBI double by Megan Moore, and an RBI double by Moore during the first inning and a three-run single by Janice-Lee Knutz in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Centralia.

Moore racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Centralia.

The South Puget Sound couldn't get anything going so long as Haley Graham was on the hill. Graham held the South Puget Sound hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Jordanne Krumpols reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

Kalynn Randt recorded his thirteenth win of the year for the Centralia. He allowed one run over two innings. Randt struck out three, walked one and gave up two hits.

Amanda Rupright was charged with his twenty-eighth loss of the year. He allowed 17 runs in five innings, walked none and struck out one.

The Centralia pounded the South Puget Sound pitching, as six hitters combined for 16 hits, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
