The Tacoma need extra frames to finish the Lower Columbia, win 4-3

The Tacoma (34-2) beat the Lower Columbia (25-13) 4-3 but needed 11 innings to do so on Monday at David Story Field.

With the score tied at three, JJ Pino came to the plate and singled, plating Jeremy Spring.

CJ Hicks racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Tacoma. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.

The Lower Columbia's lineup had no answer for Stephen White. The Lower Columbia managed just one hit off of White, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Ryota Koiwai improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Tacoma. He allowed one run over five innings. Koiwai struck out two, walked none and gave up five hits.

Tyler Gulbransen was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed one run.
