Beam helps the Lane down the SW Oregon 9-6

Kyle Beam knocked in three runs as the Lane (26-16) took home a 9-6 victory over the SW Oregon (21-21) at SWOCC Athletic Fields on Friday.

He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

The SW Oregon's lineup had no answer for Shane Quarterley. Quarterley held the SW Oregon hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Charlie Walker reached base two times in the game for the SW Oregon. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

Malik Evans improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Lane. He allowed three runs over two-thirds of an inning. Evans struck out one, walked none and gave up four hits.

Dalton Ridgway was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked three and struck out four.
