The Chemeketa make the most of 5 hits in 5-4 victory over the SW Oregon

The Chemeketa (19-14) and the SW Oregon (21-11) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Chemeketa capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-4 win at Wallace Marine Park .

Destinee Chang was hot from the plate for the Chemeketa. Chang went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Nicole Cardoza racked up two RBIs on two hits for the SW Oregon. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Emilie Leach improved to 8-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Chemeketa. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out one, walked six and surrendered eight hits.

Jessica Myers (10-5) took the loss for the SW Oregon. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
