Jessica Hotaling was cold coming off the bench, but Hotaling warmed up quickly as Hotaling stroked a key pinch-hit single in the eight to lead the Chemeketa (18-13) to a 9-6 win over the Clark (6-16) on Tuesday at Clark Softball Field .

With the score tied at six, Hotaling came to the plate and singled.

The Chemeketa were led by Sharla Kumai-Farrell's hitting. Kumai-Farrell went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and fourth innings.

Hotaling struck out six, paving the way for a the Chemeketa win. Hotaling allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over five innings.

Sam Oldham reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Jackie Jones (3-9) took the loss for the Clark. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
