An awesome effort by Kyer Vega carried the Top Speed Baseball (23-3) to an 8-0 win over the San Francisco Seagulls (9-14) on Tuesday at St. Vincents H.S.
Vega kept the San Francisco Seagulls off the board during his eight innings of work. Vega struck out five and allowed three walks and two hits.
The Top Speed Baseball left no doubt in the outcome with three runs in the eighth. The Top Speed Baseball scored in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Ridge Hoopii-Haslam, a two-run double by Garrett Everhart, and a two-run double by Everhart.
Matthew Haskins racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the seventh inning.
Michael Eagan (2-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
