Russell Moldenhauer went 2-3, helping the Lake Erie Crushers (3-2) to a 5-4 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (2-3) on Thursday at All Pro Freight Stadium.

Jordan Wellander had an impressive outing against the Traverse City Beach Bums' lineup. Wellander held the Traverse City Beach Bums hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Chase Burch led the Traverse City Beach Bums' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

Matt Rein recorded his second win of the year for the Lake Erie Crushers. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Johnny Omahen was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
