An ace performance by Alek Morency lifted the Nashua Silver Knights (1-0) to a 3-2 win over the Brockton Rox (1-1) on Sunday at Nashua.

Morency handled the Brockton Rox's lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Morency allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk over eight innings.

Brendan Doonan held the Nashua Silver Knights scoreless for seven innings. Doonan allowed three hits, two walks and struck out three.

Geoff Fisher improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Nashua Silver Knights. Fisher struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Jamie Faber (0-1) took the loss for the Brockton Rox. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
