Saturday was a great day for David Benson, as Benson pitched nine innings to carry the Seattle (WA) Studs (6-0) to a 5-1 victory over the Wellington (KS) Heat (5-2) at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The Seattle (WA) Studs' lineup had no answer for BRANDON MCMILLAN. MCMILLAN held the Seattle (WA) Studs hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

BRADY BOWEN ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
