The Hutchinson (KS) Monarchs (2-1) built an early edge on Tuesday, but the Seattle (WA) Studs (3-0) roared back to steal a 3-2 victory at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The Seattle (WA) Studs took the lead in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Ty Holm.

Connor Savage got on base three times in the game for the Seattle (WA) Studs. He singled in the fifth and ninth innings.

Taylor Thompson put together a nice outing. Thompson held the Hutchinson (KS) Monarchs hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

A bright spot for the Hutchinson (KS) Monarchs in the defeat was Cory Roper, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Zack Wilson couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Hutchinson (KS) Monarchs, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
