LaMonte Wade Jr. went 2-2, sparking the Baltimore Redbirds (4-0) to a 7-5 victory over the Alexandria Aces (1-2) on Friday at Frank Mann Field.

Matt Denny struck out six, paving the way for a the Baltimore Redbirds win. Denny allowed two earned runs, four hits and four walks over seven innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Alexandria Aces' Nicholas Collins. Collins went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first and eighth innings and doubled in the ninth innings.

Blake Ream was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
