Kyle Johnston led the Kansas Cannons' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Ryan Taylor's nine strikeouts were enough to push the Kansas Cannons past the Austin (TX) Goldsox. Taylor allowed two earned runs, nine hits and one walk over nine innings.
Aaron Burns was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
