Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Ozark (MO) Generals (2-1) outscored the Denver (CO) Cougars (1-2) 9-8.

The two teams combined for 27 hits in the game.

Spencer Blacksher racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Ozark (MO) Generals. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Brady Colbert looked sharp on the mound. The Denver (CO) Cougars managed just one hit off of Colbert, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Bill Germaine racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Denver (CO) Cougars. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Jacob Smith got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Tanner Roth (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
