Despite the loss, the Cotuit Kettleers' Evan Beal dominated the Orleans Firebirds' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.
Drew Jackson went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Cotuit Kettleers. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Beal ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year.
